Believe it or not, Derek Carr only served in a supporting role during Sunday’s blowout win over the Denver Broncos, and that pretty much left the game on the running backs' shoulders. Jacobs responded by running in for an 11-yard score that proved just how important he is to the Raiders.
While Carr put up some impressive numbers completion wise, he never scored during the game. Of course, he never got intercepted during the game either, which is a huge plus for the team, but being ineffective is humiliating. It almost leads credence to the theory that Derek Carr doesn't belong in this role.
