#5 NASCAR all star race
Let’s be honest here. NASCAR needs to cater to the mainstream. Now, that doesn't mean the sport can't be the thrill ride it was 10 to 15 years ago. It just means that attention spans aren’t what they used to be.
That’s why NASCAR needs to go all-in on this gambling theme and totally rework the all-star race from start to finish. Whether that means reversing the field at the end of a segment, forcing drivers to decide between track position and tires, or even just having extremely short segments, NASCAR needs to cash in on this concept.
Doing this at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway could open the door to the sport finding a new audience. Sure, it will be a little gimmicky, but starting in Las Vegas could show fans just how fun this kind of format could be.
