Absinthe, apart from being a hallucination-inducing drink, is the name of a Cirque du Soleil performance that is reserved exclusively for sin city itself! Why you may ask? Well, Absinthe isn’t quite like any other Cirque performance. Unlike other productions that require giant theatres and large props, Absinthe is a much more intimate affair and one that may be too intimate for some people’s liking! Featuring scantily clad dancers in overly-sexualized routines, Absinthe isn’t for the faint of heart. It takes place in a small tent, meaning the audience, which is limited to a few people or a small group, will be within touching distance of the performers themselves.
